We’ve all heard the saying, “fashion goes in cycles.” Well, there are certain posts that I’m not quite ready to let go of so I decided to create a new category. I’m calling it Oldies but Goodies. Basically, once a week I will be resurrecting one of my favorite looks from the past for your viewing pleasure.

Hooked on my Mon Mode
A few days before leaving for Japan, my friend Ksusha and I spent a day in downtown Toronto – perfume shopping in Yorkville, dim summing on Bay Street, and later taking a walk through my old University of Toronto campus. The sweet people of Mon Mode were kind enough to send me this snakeskin purse hook and I have to say, while I never had used one before, it’s been in my bag ever since. I love that it has has a mirror. Functional and stylish…gotta love that!
midnight silver
Ever since my last post I’ve been doing a lot of celebrating; the end of the first semester, the beginning of the winter break, friends visiting from Toronto, warm days, rainy days – they all seem like worthy occasions. The next bunch of posts will probably reflect this temporary trend so stay tuned. I wore this Nicole Miller dress with silver flowers for drinks with a few friends from T.O. It’s a little tight for dancing so we kept the night cocktail oriented.
Varadero Heat
Things have been insanely hectic this past couple of days. While I ran around searching for an apartment close to the school, there was so much that needed to be juggled that I thought my head would explode; I’m pretty sure it didn’t though so you need not worry. It was my first day of orientation today and I really wish I were in the condition to delve into some juicy details but it’s one in the morning and the prospect of going to sleep is clouding all blog-worthy recollections.
flying high
I never thought I would say this, but as much as I loved my Cuba vacation, it’s truly nice to be back. I have tons of looks and stories from my trip to share with you guys and I’ll have to pace myself by spreading them out over multiple posts. In fact, there will be so many vacation outfit ideas that I’ve decided to dedicate a full category on Fahionista Talk to them. The category will be called Resort and it will house all posts related to tropical-vacations.
