I’m visiting my family in Toronto and trying to savor every moment of it. I wake up early and go to bed late just to make my days longer here. My “day 1″ outfit in T.O. was comprised of a light silk top, cropped pants, and matching heels. I paired this combo with a Chan Luu necklace to break up the monotonality with some color and a touch of crystal. I’m always so inspired in this city…more to come shortly.

unraveling wherever I’m traveling
I don’t know if it’s just within my circle of friends and acquaintances but a lot of people seem to be island hopping and traveling right now. I didn’t get a chance to get my vacationing on this March break but I wanted to make a few resort posts to keep the theme of tropical festivities going, This look is from my last trip to Cuba. I took a plain straw hat and freshened it up a little with a silk scarf and a yellow flower. Now that I think of it, the gold bathing suit and the silk beach top would be perfect for a pool party. Umm, can’t wait for the summer.
falling into fall
Last weekend we drove to Santa Cruz for a little outing. I am slowly coming to terms with the inevitable season change and its implications (not that I ever had a choice in the matter), and this look is sort of a testament to that. The brown tones, the heavier shoes, long…everything. Mind you the fabrics are still super light so it’s more like I’m easing into fall.
in transition
I’m not sure if this is just my way of diversifying my wardrobe or if it’s an actual reaction to what is happening in the ever-changing world of fashion, but lately I’ve been gravitating towards colour skinny jeans more then ever (not a difficult claim to make considering that they seemed to have appeared on the radar around this season). There is something so fresh about this fit in vibrant colours that it almost redefines the perception of skinny jeans all together from tired and played out to trend worthy.
It’s my Birfday!!!
I’m turning 27 today – a big girl now. Funny…I don’t feel any different. We were planning on starting the long road-trip/move to California today because I need to be at the law school orientation by mid-August, and I still have no idea where I’m going to live when I’m there. We’ve postponed the departure date for another 20 hours so it’ll be a b-day full of packing and planning. As is usually the case with us fiery Leos, I’m big on birthdays and try to savor their every moment. And as uneventful as today’s b-day is likely to be, I’m more excited than ever.
