This is what I’m wearing to school today. One of my classes was cancelled so I have a whole hour and fifteen minutes of edumacation today. My professor just walked in the door so I gotta run. Have a wonderful day everybody.
MISSONI
asia inspired
It’s finally the weekend again and I have sunny Seoul at my fingertips. What shall a girl do in a city full of asian goodies? I started my day with brunch consisting of a large latte and a waffle topped with green tea ice cream. This was followed by a walk through the huge Coex mall. I generally hate malls but had to subject myself to its crowds and chaos for the sake of getting to know Seoul better. Sacrifices need to be made in the interest of well-rounded experiences
. This pale look is what I wore this morning – inspired by this dynamic city and its beautiful, feminine women.
in a heartbeat
Today I found out what Koreans have for breakfast – kimchi and meat – the same thing they have for lunch and dinner. It has also been raining in Seoul everyday since we got here, so I’m getting to know the Monsoon season pretty intimately. A Coach umbrella and Coffee Shop rain coat are my trusty companions everywhere I go, and as you can imagine, this redundancy can really get to a fashionista. Looking forward to some dry days of a Korean summer.
lost and found in Tokyo
I’m quickly falling in love with Tokyo. It is by far one of the cleanest and safest cities I’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Just to give you an idea of what I mean by safe, one of my favourite things to do here is to go jogging at night through the city…by myself and (as an aside) in the rain. It’s exhilarating! Everyone seems so respectful to, and considerate towards, one another. The first time I went on one of these ‘jogging sight-seeing missions’ I got distracted by a shop and got lost. It felt a little troublesome because everything was beginning to look the same, few people speak enough English to be of help, and I had no money or phone on me, but it still felt too safe to really worry. I will never forget this comfortable feelings in one of the most populous metropolitan centers of the world.

My “newly acquired independence” (that’s code for becoming single) is giving me more time to reflect and just be on my own than I’ve had in a long time. Naturally, my days have their ups and downs and I find myself doubting and questioning notions that I previously accepted as truths. To dispel some of the vagueness, I’ll just tell you that I’m referring to tedious relationship stuff. Anyway, I’m going to call this part of my life the “Inquisition Period” and never speak of it again. I hope. Today’s post encompasses some of what I refuse to question however. The power of vitamin D and the love of family and friends.
