The other day we visited the geek central of the world – Akihabara Electric Town (Aka, Akiba). That’s were you go if you need some nifty little gadget or some ‘super exciting stuff’ like electrical parts, wires, or microsized cameras. But for those of us who would rather go through wisdom teeth removal than dig though a box of wires, Akiba still has a lot more to offer. To me, the greatest thing about this part of Tokyo is its energy. It feels…I don’t know…FAST.

This post is coming to you from my tiny Tokyo hotel room but the pictures were taken back in Toronto. I paired this form fitting Alice + Olivia dress and a scarf with silver accents to meet up a friend for dinner and a movie. I can’t wait to get to my Tokyo posts and to show you some of what I’m seeing.
black and gold
Toronto weather has been really beautiful lately so I’ve been keeping my looks short and feminine. This light Robbie & Nikki blouse is actually an unusually awkward length; a little two short to be worn as a dress and too long as a top unless it’s tucked in. I love its sheer delicate chiffon and how it drapes over the shoulders so I was determined to make it work during my visit. Thankfully I remembered about my old vintage skirt and threw it into the suitcase last minute. The gold and black combo is timeless, classic, and easy to put together.
my loveliest of lovelies
My Toronto visit is getting better by the minute because I finally get to hand out with my dear Alissa – my gorgeous fashionista friend who has been in my life since forever. We wore silk dresses, light jewellery and heels for a night of drinks, dancing, and catching up.
breath of fresh air
I finally experienced cold in California, and I must say… It’s wonderful. It’s ironic that it takes the worst California weather to cheer me up the most. The cold outside, the rain coming down, and the sun poking through just enough to remind me of the beautiful days that are just around the corner. Maybe it’s all in my mind, or maybe, just maybe, California is letting me know that everything is going to be alright. Thank you California, I got the message.
