On her last trip to Toronto, my mom bought me these amazing mirrored crystal and pearl Lanvin earrings that I’ve been dying to put to use. When the prospect of going to the opera arose this weekend, I immediately thought of them. This Friday didn’t go exactly as planned and the opera outing is still pending, but I made sure to get a little more acquainted with these babies regardless. Well, as it turns out, the earrings are pretty heavy and kill my earlobes…but the pain is worth it. Anything for Lanvin.

tulip prada
I was lucky to have gotten away from studying last week for a night of ballet in San Francisco. George Balanchine’s Coppelia was a beautiful show – its lightheartedness a refreshing departure from the drama and tragedy of opera I so willingly subject myself to. I wore my new tulip Prada dress for this occasion. In a matter of one night we became pretty acquainted: first in the rain, then on the train, and finally at the ballet.
electric blue
This is how I handled going out on the coldest night in San Jose. A soft cashmere turtleneck dress, a wool jacket with a scarf collar, tights, suede boots, and accent jewellery. Sitting on the patio under the heaters never felt cozier.
It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Today’s look-of-the-day is of the outfit I wore to the school open-house and reception. It was sunny and beautiful that day but still a little chilly, so I paired my cream Robert Rodriguez dress with a large pocket spring coat and a pastel blue cashmere cardigan. The schedule of the open-house was pretty intensive but mom and I were still able to find 15 minutes for a Starbucks and mini photo shoot break.
Silk Cello
Today’s look-of-the-day carries a musical theme, with an almost romantic air to it. After the Russian sauna, I went to a house party last night. It was being hosted by my brother, Taras and one of his friends – a professional cello player, Min. Wine, cheese, hookah, and heated debates on the topic of ‘free will vs. determinism’ made the party engaging and relaxing at the same time. The apple-pie and mojitos were also a nice touch. Good job guys…’Great Success’!!!
