This trip to New York and Montreal was really unexpected - quite spontaneous actually. After coming back from Russia I was busy with my grad-school application so I didn't have time to think about much else. This trip was a refreshing break from the it all. The food in Montreal was amazing!

I had the privilege of spending a whole 2 weeks in St. Petersburg this summer and it was unforgettable. It was so beautiful and the weather was unusually pleasant. I actually got a chance to wear the silk dresses I brought along and I didn't need to go into the boring reserves of jeans and sweaters I had hidden away in the dark corners of my suitcases. Never having to resort to them was a treat!

I have made something of a "tradition" out of spending each of my birthdays in a new country. This summer it was Russia. I spent 2 weeks in St. Petersburg and only 2 days in Moscow. These are some of the pictures from my trip. I was careful in selecting what I was going to wear for the 2 days because I anticipated visiting Moscow for so long.
