I’ve been meaning to make a post about Ulyana Sergeenko for a while now but after seeing her Spring 2013 couture collection procrastination was no longer an issue.  She is my favourite Russian designer whose work truly makes me proud.  I love the fact that her designs are heavily infused with traditional Russian imagery.  Instead of shying away from the past, she embraces it and makes it relevant.  This time her collection was also inspired by classic American tales like Gone With the Wind.  The silhouettes are grandiose and impressive but the charm is in the small details like crochet embroidery and hand-painted porcelain buttons.  Enjoy!
