My family and I visited the Thousand Islands this past weekend and – on the way there – stopped over at my aunt and uncle’s place in Kingston. Their house is by the lake with breathtakingly-gorgeous views in every direction. Running around their park-esque backyard with their dog, Amur, felt almost dreamlike. I remixed the silk maxi skirt for the Thousand Islands boat tour and our visit to the Boldt Castle. The peachy-cream pastels, flowy fabrics, headwear, and the silhouette of this look is reminiscent of the English tea party scene. And considering that, when I was little, I wanted to be the Queen of England for a living, I loved wearing this ladylike ensemble.
There was this adorable five-year-old girl on the boat that was completely enamoured with me because she was convinced that she was in the presence of a real princess. Every time I walked by her she would impulsively profess her love for my “princessness,” which was insanely cute and sort of awkward at the same time. I guess she figured that since we were all going to visit a castle she might get to see some royalty. I didn’t want to be the cause of any disappointment so I told her that we’re both princesses, which made her beam with joy. Oh, those little ones need so little.
What I’m wearing:

- Chiffon top by “Marciano”
- Straw hat by “Holt Renfrew”

- Crystal heart ribbon necklace
- 2 chunky chain rings by “Luc Kieffer” (last seen in June 24’10)

Thanks Anna
Have you seen the Charlie Brown musical? There's an entire scene dedicated to Lucy's desire to be queen. I guess you have something in common!
Oh yeah. I should check that out. Well in my defence, I was just a little baby then.
Thanks for the comment.

Thanks that's so nice to hear. I guess I really under-appreciated it at first.
