I few days ago I was going though all of Marni’s spring collection and I came across a look that triggered something of a ‘fashion epiphany.’ In analyzing the collections I tend to unconsciously assume a relatively consistent pace and then pause for those pieces that interest me. Well, I initially passed this one by and then I thought, “wait a minute, this sort of reminds me of something.” I went back to the look and thought of my old, chiffon YA-YA skirt. I only wore it once, on a Jamaica vacation, because I generally had a difficult time finding something suitable to pair it with. Before seeing this picture, for some reason it had never occurred to me that layering chiffon at the top to match the multi-layered chiffon skirt could work. I assumed that it would be too much of a good thing for one look
. But genius designers do have a way of shattering out expectations and expending all fashion limits, don’t they? I wanted to add a little sensuality and delicacy to the look so I layered a chiffon tank top over a lacy camisole. To complete this ensemble, I unbuttoned a long YA-YA blouse and threw it into the mix.
The wind was insane today, so if it looks like I’m squinting a lot it wasn’t entirely intentional

Thank you so much.
sooooo pretty! beautiful shots! who takes your pics?
My mom actually took these pictures, but most of my pictures are taken by my dad or my brother. I like to get the family involved
. Thanks for asking.
Wow! I just discovered your blog and it is beautiful. Love your style!
Thank you so much. I'm glad you like it and welcome
I think the “nude chiffons” look great on fair-skinned blonds such as yourself. But that being said…I'm afraid I'd just look washed-out, so I'm going for darker versions.
You know what tones suit your completion and hair colour best and the same applies to nudes. Modifying a certain look by choosing darker tones is always a good way of making it work for yourself.
Thank you for commenting.
Love Lida
This is such a lovely and whimsical outfit, and your coloring is perfect with the tones in the bare chiffon. Just beautiful …
Thank you so much Sharon

(repost) ….just gorgeous
Thank you so much
these photos are beautiful! i'd never think that layering so many pastel shades together could look so good. this really suits your coloring. the first shot is stunning! i think the outfit would have looked great with some strappy sandals too, like someone else posted, very woodland nymph/earth goddess-y.
Thank you Victoria

This is so me. Care-free, young, and ready to go from daylight to twilight.

This is my favorite look mostly because I love that carefree, but stylish look. And I love the light airy style.

Thank you Eve and good luck in the draw!
I actually found your blog randomly and went through a few pages of your looks! Although all of your looks are so whimsical and pretty, I think this is my favorite one so far. It's just so…feminine and airy…very pretty.
Thank you so much Joy. Good luck in the giveaway!
Last entry for D&B bag didn't work so I'm trying again…this is my other favourite look for obvious reasons. One thing that I love you do is that you do summer looks so so so well, and as a fellow die-hard summer girl, I hugely admire it!
This look is so amazing because it has such a layered look to all the flowiness, it reminds me of waves.
Love it! Alexandra G., http://tovogueorbust.blogspot.com/
