I submitted this picture for the Moxsie Sweet Summer Style contest on chictopia. The whole premise behind the contest was to show what your favourite Summer stapes are and how you keep cool in the heat. When I first read what was required I immediately knew that I could contribute because I’m something of a “heat junkie.” The temperature outside can rarely be too high for me and I crave the hottest of the summer days. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the matter, but part of the explanation could be the fact that I’m a fire sign (Leo). But zodiac aside, when I was asked to describe how I stay stylish through the summer this is what I wrote:
“Toronto summers can get pretty hot and humid so my main method for staying cool in the heat is to go bright, short, and natural. As in, mini skirts, shorts, and dresses in natural fabrics that breath – like silk, cotton, and linen. Basically I go light on the fabric and heavy on the accessories. That’s my way of keeping cool.”

This look is by far my favourite for a variety of reasons…first of all, I bike everywhere as my means of transit, and my bike's frame is very similar to your own. The bike kind of necessitates a certain level of style because they're cute and stylish in themselves.
I also love love love the mix of colours. Summer is about brightness and vibrancy and I feel like you really captured that in your outfit. I also love that your necklace is summery too…when I think of turquoise and coral I immediately draw associations to the beach and summery weather, and I think it's awesome that your mum made it too!
