I realize that I’m making this post a little late but I’m sticking by that old ‘better late then never’ cliche. If I had to single out my favourite part of today’s look it would be my ‘gingerbread men’ necklace that I bought on my last vacation in Cuba. Admittedly, from a craftsmanship perspective, there isn’t much to it but I think it embodies that Cuban warmth and charm that is so inherent in their culture. I love this necklace for the very reason others might have passed it by – its primitiveness or even immaturity. It may be simple in appearance but it’s loaded with vibrancy. I think its colour emanates with such intensity and festivity.
What I’m wearing:
- Zipper pants by “Stella McCartney” (last seen in Apr. 11’10)
- Chiffon blouse by “YA-YA Aflalo” (last seen in Nov. 16’09)
- Leather pumps by “Guillaume Hinfray” (last seen in Apr. 24’10)
- Reversible cloth bag by “Xpat” (last seen in Beach Clothes)
- Handmade necklace with clay gingerbread men looking things (bought in Cuba) (last seen in Dec. 30’09)

very cute necklace!
Thank you
Robin.
Love the necklace. I also collect primative pieces like this from locals of exotic places I visit. Just the memory of the trip it brings everytime you wear it is worth it. The sheer blouse is so romantic.
Hey Lida. Lovely posts! You should do some on your makeup etc. Your skin looks flawless! Thanks
Thank you so much Ghazal. I will try to incorporate some of that stuff into the posts. There are some amazing make-up tutorials available online (youtube for example) from professional make-up artists. I’m not as comfortable with that as general fashion stuff but I can definitely talk about different skin care tips I have and the steps i take in my own make up application routine. That’s a good idea, thanx
