For today’s look-of-the-day I paired the short, black, jumpsuit with my new Marni, sequin necklace. I’ve included pictures of the way the necklace was worn on the runway for comparison. I prefer the simpler approach. Let me know what you think.

Pink Roses
I’m going to banya today and am really short on time. So here is the look-of-the-day. It’s silky, it’s light, and it’s rosy. My little tribute to the beautiful spring season to come.
Taupe Shenanigans
Today’s look-of-the-day is of taupe and light grey shades. I had quite an adventure putting it together. It started when I was trying to wrap the Cuban bean necklace around my wrist and it broke. I’m now finding beans in the most unlikely of places in my room. Some of the beans must have flown and rolled pretty far to end up where they did: in one of my boots in the closet, on the TV, and unfortunately for one of them – underneath my foot as I stepped on it (about a minute ago). Well, that’s one of the potential drawbacks of all this fashionista play. There are unavoidable losses to be had. Anyhow, I think it’s a small price to pay for a look (at least in this case). I gathered all the beans that I could find, without waisting too much time, and put together a smaller necklace. It was originally about double the length of what you see here. I guess you could say that my little, one-convertable-peso worth, Cuban-bean-necklace took one for the team

Tuesday on the Road
My day so far has largely consisted of getting myself back home to Toronto. I am finally sitting in my condo, with a latte in my hand, writing my daily post. There isn’t much that you can say in relation to travel attire other than the obvious – “comfort comes first.” I used to interpret this comfort-related, three-word-rule as a limiting nuisance. A stifling kill-joy that inhibits our creative instincts and freedoms. But I now realize that it doesn’t have to. On the contrary, I’m beginning to enjoy putting together looks for very specific purposes (such as travel) because its many limitations present something of fun challenge. As long as you keep in mind what the day requires of you (mostly sitting, waiting, and trying to get comfortable with little leg room and so on) then it quickly narrows down your possibilities. Through my previous experiences I’ve learned to layer, wear stretchable, comfy pants, and to bring a big bag for all my travel stuff. Everything else is a matter of the fashionista’s vision.
End of Long Weekend
I’m still in Montreal and this post is of my relaxed, “I’m a little tired from celebrating Valentine’s Day” look. I’m about to go to Schwartz’s for a bite to eat. It must sound like that’s all I do here, and it is
