I can’t believe it’s December already and we’re only a few weeks away from Christmas. I don’t know about you, but I haven’t done my Christmas shopping at all yet. But in this case it’s not because I’m procrastinating; being from Moldova, our tradition is to exchange presents for the New Years. How convenient is that considering that everything is on sale by then and you can afford to give your friend’s and family what they really want
. I love hypothetical questions and here is one for you: Would you prefer getting a so-so present right on Christmas or something amazing a week late?
Today’s look-of-the-day is from my first trip to St. Petersburg, Russia. Our days on that trip would play out in a way that we would leave the house in the morning and come back at night without ever having a chance to change, so I always had to figure out an outfit that would be suited for many different activities. The neutrality of the dress’s color and the relative subtlety of its cut and silhouette, make this type of a dress perfect for days that demand versatility. I wore it for brunch, to the museums, to the theatre, and for dinner, all in one day and without having to ever question its appropriateness.
P.S. the last picture of me sitting in the golf cart is taken at Vladimir Putin’s cottage and the cart is Jacques Chirac’s (pretty cool right)
Here is what I wore:
- Silk dress by “Tara Jarmon”
- Shoes by “Via Spiga”
- Tiny gold chain with tear shaped crystals
