I hope you’re all having an awesome post-Christmas time – relaxed, well fed, and ready for the real party (New Years that is). I’m still at the lodge, enjoying the laid-back atmosphere, with its biggest dilemmas being whether to (a) watch another movie, (b) read a book, (c) take another nap, (d) just hang out and do nothing, (e) or sauna. We usually just resort to (d) with a bit of (a) sprinkled in
.
Today’s look-of-the-day is as comfortable as it is soft. I turned the Kenneth Jay Lane wooden necklace into a belt, thus maintaining proper visual proportions. In its absence the upper-body would look elongated and unflattering. Within the pictures I’ve illustrated a number of different ways of wearing such scarfs. I’ve also included some photos of Jessica Alba and Vanessa Manillo wearing Tolani scarfs (in case any of you care).
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m liking this cottage-glam look. Once again, you are highly encouraged to leave a comment and let me know where you stand on the issue.
What I’m wearing:
- Cashmere long turtleneck sweater by “Robert Rodriguez”
- Skirted pant by “Young, Fabulous & Broke” (skinny leg with skirt over hips, in green)
- Scarf by “Tolani”
- Boots by “UGG Australia”
- Necklace (worn as a belt here) by “Kenneth Jay Lane” (as seen in Nov. 23)
- A chunky ring made out of fish bone (bought in Cuba) (as seen in Dec. 24)
- Sun glasses by “MARNI”

Love the whole outfit and especially the scarf. It made such a statement!
Nice use of the necklace. Creative!!!
I love the whole look. It’s good for everyday.
Can you wear a bracelet around your waist next time?
wow using a scarf as an accessory, how novel,
Hi Sandy,
I fully agree with you, but I was referring to using a necklace as a belt rather then scarf as an accessory.
I appreciate your feedback.
Happy Festivus
